directions

Experience tells us you won't listen, but we're gonna say it anyway:  We know the roads around here better than your GPS, google or your iPhone.  If you follow the directions from one of those devices, a multitude of conditions might occur:  you are likely to be sent down a 10 mile unpaved portion of Route 121 - during certain seasons and weather conditions this road can be impassable; your device may not recognize our town and you'll end up in an entirely different city; or it may send you down roads that no longer exist.  In any of these instances, you will probably be in an area without cell coverage, and will be unable to call us for help.  Please, trust the directions below.

Winter Precautions:  As our address might imply, our road sits on a hill.   Like most roads, during and immediately after snowfall, passage can be difficult.  4WD/AWD is recommended but usually not necessary; Front wheel drive works just fine provided you are adept at driving in adverse conditions,  however your sporty rear-wheel drive vehicle will almost certainly encounter problems, as vehicles of this type lift over the snow, rather than pulling you through it.  Locals have no problem traversing the road; however, common sense winter driving  skills and a properly maintained vehicle are necessary (no bald tires).  As you approach the hill, you're going to need momentum to get up it, so please, don't slow down to 5 miles per hour, and don't floor the pedal either (this is where that common sense winter driving comes into play) a nice steady speed gets you here.  If you are not confident in your winter driving abilities, please follow these alternate directions.
